It’s the most wonderful time of the year…. DragonCon time that is!  Once more the pilgrimage to Atlanta is being planned, and we look forward to being reunited with our friends and geek family that we can only find during these four days of festivities.  This is going to be my 13th DragonCon: 13 out of the last 17 years since I discovered the convention back in 2001.  This convention continues to be my geek home, where i come once a year to remind myself why I do what I do, how important our community is, and why I am forever grateful that I get to teach to and learn from everyone there.

Now onto where you can find yours truly – and pick up a copy of Fine Line or Lost Child of Hermes if you don’t already own both.  I may even have some new secret projects completed by then (which I will announce on my Facebook if I can get them completed in time).  Now mind you, this will probably change at least once between now and the end of August, but if you’re looking for me this year at DragonCon, here’s where you can find me:

So can we talk about this last DragonCon panel for a moment?  I’m scheduled to be on it with Widgett Walls, Keith R.A. DeCandido, Robert E. Hampson, and Jonathan Maberry, and beyond the fact part of me wants to go down the imposter syndrome rabbit hole on me being at the same table as these awesome gentlemen… I’m also stupidly excited to be in a discussion.  It’s like the last entire 30 years of my life has been researching up to this moment.

I’m also highly amused that my Like, Love and Lust: The Art of Writing the Romance continues to be scheduled opposite the DragonCon Annual Parade.  This continues to be the ultimate joke on what attracts people more: parades or talking about sex.  At least it almost guarantees that no children will be in the room!

I’m a little sad that I won’t be doing any panels with the Writer’s Track this year, and I may try to invite myself onto a Voltron: Legendary Defender panel if I am free during them since I report about that show for ThreeIfBySpace.net.  – Yes, for those curious, the only reason I’m here posting this and not on my couch watching season 3 right now is that I promised DJ Gray I would wait for her butt to get home from work tonight so we can watch it together.

Other than that, I have a friend who I’m bringing as my guest to DragonCon who has never been before. Having the light schedule will let me be able to show her around and just enjoy the con for a bit in a way I haven’t done since around 2009 when I started being Aaron and Mike’s minion. It’s going to be a good time, and I’ll see you all there! ♥

I was BritTrack before the BritTrack was cool.
